🏌️ Griffin’s Place Golf Scramble FAQ

We’re excited to have you join us for our 1st Annual Griffin’s Place Golf Scramble Fundraiser! This page answers some of the most common questions and provides important information to help you prepare for a fun afternoon of golf, friendly competition, dinner, prizes, and supporting an incredible cause.

⛳ How many holes will we play?

Our tournament is a 9-hole shotgun scramble at Killarney West Golf Club.

  • Registration & Check-In: 2:00 PM

  • Shotgun Start: 3:00 PM

  • Format: 9-hole scramble

Please plan to arrive early enough to check in, get settled, and be ready for the 3:00 PM shotgun start.

⏱️ How long will the scramble take?

We anticipate the round will take approximately 2–2½ hours, depending on the pace of play and the number of teams participating.

Please help us keep the tournament moving by maintaining a good pace of play throughout the round.

🍽️ Is dinner included?

Yes! Dinner is included with your team registration.

Dinner will be provided immediately following the scramble. Once all golfers have completed their rounds, we will gather for our BBQ & Awards Celebration.

Dinner will be provided by 808 Grinds.

Once all golfers have completed their 9 holes, we'll gather for our BBQ & Awards Celebration. Dinner will be served immediately following the scramble.

During the celebration:

  • 🍽️ Dinner will be served

  • 🎉 We'll celebrate everyone who came out to support Griffin’s Place!

🍺 Can we bring our own alcohol?

No outside alcohol is permitted. Killarney West Golf Club operates under its own liquor license, so all alcoholic beverages must be purchased through the golf course. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at the Clubhouse when you check in. Thank you for helping us follow the golf course's licensing requirements and policies.

🚗 Where should I park?

Parking at the golf course is limited, so please plan to carpool with your team whenever possible. Carpooling will help ensure there is plenty of parking available for all golfers and guests. If you are able to ride together with your teammates, we greatly appreciate it!

🕑 When should I arrive?

Registration & Check-In: 2:00 PM
Shotgun Start: 3:00 PM

We recommend arriving early enough to:

  • Check in

  • Pick up any information you need

  • Purchase alcoholic beverages from the Clubhouse, if desired

  • Meet up with your teammates

  • Get ready for the 3:00 PM shotgun start

🔫 What is a shotgun start?

A shotgun start means that all teams begin playing at approximately the same time from different holes on the course. Your team will be assigned a starting hole when you check in. When the tournament begins, teams will head to their assigned holes and begin play together.

🏌️ Is this event suitable for all golfers?

We want our Griffin’s Place events to be welcoming and inclusive. However, this particular tournament is designed for golfers who are able to maintain the pace of play during an active tournament. Please keep this in mind when registering your team.
